Terms
Plain English. These are a starting point — have someone check them before you rely on them.
Who you are buying from
Craftybits, a sole trader based in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Contact: orders@craftybits.uk. Not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on anything here.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when I email to confirm it, or when I send the proof, whichever comes first. I can decline an order, and will say why.
Prices
Prices shown include everything except postage, which is added at checkout. If a price is obviously wrong through a typing mistake on my part, I will contact you before taking payment rather than either honouring it or quietly cancelling.
Payment
Card payments are handled by SumUp on their own secure page. Card details go straight to them and are never stored on this website. Work starts once payment clears.
Your wording and artwork
You are telling me you have the right to use whatever you send — logos, artwork, text, photographs. If a third party comes after me for something you supplied, that is on you. I will not cut anything I think infringes someone else's rights.
Your artwork stays yours. I will not reuse a personal design for anyone else. I may photograph finished work for the site or social media unless you ask me not to, which is fine to ask.
Natural materials
Timber and slate vary. Grain, colour and figuring differ from piece to piece and from the photographs. That is the material behaving normally rather than a fault.
Outdoor pieces
Anything living outside will weather. Oak silvers, slate softens in colour, oiled finishes need redoing every couple of years. Guidance comes in the box.
Where I stand if something goes wrong
If I get it wrong, I will remake it or refund it. What I cannot cover is indirect loss — a delayed wedding, a missed event, lost business. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
